Seven questions with Sarah

Tell us about yourself!

As an Occupational Therapist my passion has always been to assist people to reach their potential. In 2002 I had Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and was sleeping 20 hours per day. This was extremely debilitating and after trialing anything and everything to get better, I was lucky enough to discover Non-Invasive Interactive Neurostimulation (SCENAR, then KEY therapy). I was able to return to full function and set out to learn everything I could about the technology to enable me to help as many people as possible! I now own Total Health Orange and continue to focus on improving people’s lives, reducing pain, increasing energy and much more!

What’s your background?

I am an Occupational Therapist that has been working in rural and remote areas of Australia since 2005. I utilise a range of skills within my practice including SCENAR/Key Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage, Paediatrics, Geriatrics and much more. I now have two Occupational Therapists working for me to assist to manage the high demand for our services. My goal is to see everyone in our region feeling healthy, happy and pain free!

What drew you to physiokey?

After using Non-Invasive Interactive Neurostimulation devices for over 15years, I feel it is my responsibility to ensure I am offering my clients the best available technology.

I have found physiokey to be more effective, faster and more ergonomic to use. Therefore it enables me to treat more ailments in a shorter time. As soon as I started using physiokey, my clients could tell the difference. They reported a softer, more comfortable sensation and greater benefits. I love my physiokey and I find the home device (sanakey) is so user-friendly and simply and my clients love having such amazing technology in the comfort of their own homes.

What modalities do you use in your Clinic?

As an Occupational Therapist we use a range of skills to treat people from birth to the elderly. I incorporate Key Therapy, SCENAR Therapy, Soft Tissue work, Renu28 and ASEA into my clinic on a regular basis along with my core OT skills.

What changes have you noticed since adding physiokey?

I have found it to be faster and more effective and to reduce the chance of any flare up of a condition. My clients prefer it and note that it feels softer, however they state that is seems to penetrate into deeper muscles to provide relief on a deeper level. They also feel it lasts a lot longer. My clients return to health is faster and therefore I am able to see more clients.

Why do you suggest sanakey to your clients?

sanakey is a simple but very effective technology that enables my clients to continue their treatment whilst away from the clinic. It assists to speed up recovery time and is a fantastic first aid device! If people are unable to get in to see me at a time of need, they have their sanakey to provide themselves with some effective pain relief.

I honestly feel that every household should have a sanakey! It is so user friendly and there is an app available that my clients love!

How do you think physiokey benefits practitioners?

It is a fantastic way to provide not only pain relief, but to improve the bodies function and ability to heal itself. One of the greatest benefits is that it isn’t taxing on the practitioner’s body like so many other modalities and it enables us to consider the whole body, not just one area of pain. If you are a practitioner that is in the business of helping others to improve their function, this device is a must have. It is portable, has great online training and ongoing support, and is a great addition to any clinic.
